The photo is my Pro-Driver. It is several years old! It is a Pro-Driver One, (still available). The model One has a switch in lieu of a push-button time-delay cutout. This allows you to remove the voltage from the plug for better engine setup when needed. The time-delay cutout helps us forgetful types. However, I have left mine on for two-three hours at contests with no ill effects!

The unit pulses across the glow plug at three volts. This heats the plug evenly and hot. When the engine is flooded, the pulse width widens proportionately and effectively applies more current, thus clearing out the element. You will see the bar graph current indicator increase based on the degree of flooding. This, and the fact you can start in very cold conditions are the features I like best! My glow plugs seem to last longer. I use OS-F plugs and they do not seem to crystallize in as short a time frame as the 1.2 volt ni-cad.
